The first week of July 2018 I went with a number of other mosaic enthusiasts to La Vigna, where the Dutch Lily van Nunen and her husband Wil bought a house. She also has a large studio there and even more convenient she lives not so far from the Tagliamento where you can pick up pebbles for your mosaic. We went at least 3 times to find the right color or shape. This pebble mosaic is not the traditional pebble mosaic that you often see, but with this one you start from the shapes to make a it come togheter instead of looking for pebbles of the same color and size to place tightly next to each other.
