Apart from generating knowledge and technology for the proper functioning of society within the current system of production of goods and energy, universities have the duty to prepare our human conglomerates for the inevitable moment when oil, from which a large quantity of materials and fuels used today are derived, no longer exists, and for the probability that nuclear energy be considered too dangerous to continue being used.
Therefore, it would be very positive if each institution of higher education created a didactic space open to the public, dedicated exclusively to research and exhibition regarding materials and technologies that will replace those that in the future will not be used anymore, either by the high degree of pollution they generate, or because they simply will no longer be available.
Create one museum of alternative materials and technologies in each university.
