World Vasectomy Day

World Vasectomy Day was created in 2013 by award-winning documentary filmmaker, Jonathan Stack, to raise awareness, demystify, and educate governments, family planning organizations, health workers and families about vasectomy. Since then, the message of World Vasectomy Day, that it is an act of love for oneself, one’s family and our future, has resonated with ministries of health, NGOs, and individuals stepping up for their loved ones.
World Vasectomy Day celebrates responsible men. This started as a 24-hour broadcast media event of 1,000 men getting vasectomies on camera in 25 countries, and has expanded to include men’s health fairs, symposia for doctors and medical students, vasectomy-athons both during the broadcasts and at public events, training doctors and health care workers, and establishing vasectomy programs in countries where no program exists.
