Wise Women Will Save the World
Public Node Active 2 years, 1 months ago
A node for change-makers who believe that, in order to address global problems, we urgently need to amplify the influence of women. Our aim is to cultivate, within women, a contemporary form of wisdom they can then use to motivate other women to rise up and demand change.
The thinking behind the Wise Women concept:
Our current efforts to improve planet and people are both fragmented and inadequate. To a large degree, this reflects the adversarial and win-at-all-costs nature of dominant patriarchal systems.
Such systems also prefer thinking and communication styles that are linear and analytical, which often results in bland messaging that has little influence because it doesn’t connect head and heart. Communication that fails to engage people in addressing critical issues is a huge barrier to change.
We urgently need to garner the support of women currently disengaged from efforts to repair our world. To start addressing this, we aim to increase the number of women possessing a contemporary form of wisdom that blends global consciousness, feminine values such as empathy and collaboration, plus competence in creative communication, behavioural psychology, systems thinking and digital media.
These Wise Women will be able to make sense of complex ‘wicked’ problems, translate that sense into clear, creative messaging and techniques of influence, and, in a positive, engaging and energising manner, inspire more women to rise up and demand change.
Wise Women will unite others around three core messages:
1) Enough is enough
2) You are not alone; we will all support each other
3) We are the ones we have been waiting for
