many have talked of a continuing conversation of all people and all peoples
we won’t get change if we can’t muster enough power
I think the trick is to engage one successfully and ‘train the trainer’ until done
the difficulty is people have little experience of engagement, trust and truthone approach would be to help people solve all their problems
this is best done at the community level through self-help groups
involvement, work, persistence and purpose would be experienced and learned
the price of being helped should be their help in return
with this skill set we can hope, plan and buildthis as a first draft, to be agreed and improved and expanded
please help
p.s I agree with “The MAHB Mission” and The Qualicum Institute Node call for leadership -

mighty mouse v2.0
in honour of the ‘mighty mouse approach to the revolution’:
‘i will become good, i will raise my children to be good, and the world will be better’.
this ‘mighty mouse’ fails as many more become bad, NOT through their fault.so i propose a new ‘mighty mouse’:
“two people agree to help each other live better lives. each agrees that when they are empowered enough, they will engage with another person. and so on, for ever.”basics
i will live a better life when i do better things for others and myself. i will live a better life when i stop doing things that hurt others and myself. more good and less bad.
most people will need help because in our authoritarian culture, problems are denied, victims are blamed, harm is excused, and problems are not fixed and prevented. the fate of whistle-blowers will persuade one of that.
because problem solving is new, it is unnatural, problems are not easy to describe and explain, alternative behaviours and attitudes are hard to invent, choices are not easy to make, and persistence is needed to change old habits.
and then we need to learn to co-operate, to learn others’ rights, to be obliged to give others their rights, and to recognize our own rights.
it is unnatural to be on their side. it is unnatural to be there for one’s self. -

[“two people agree to help each other live better lives. each agrees that when they are empowered enough, they will engage with another person. and so on, for ever.”]
That is one method, if people agree to that procedure.
Our technology also enables us to do things in a more widespread manner, since now we can talk to almost the whole world at once (assuming that we have something to say that is regarded as that important and relevant).
An example is the Humanian Belief Manual. It is a newborn and may not even survive, but at least it has a chance. It’s something that anyone and everyone can participate in. It is working on a basic ethical philosophy for our species, not just for one’s tribe. Its rationale and methodology is spelled out succinctly on the TOOLS page of the HOME section of the website.
Do you think the Belief Manual is likely to survive and succeed?
(BTW, you have definite ideas regarding ethical principles. Why not enter some in the Belief Manual? Also, if you do, you can compare your Belief Manual with mine, seeing where we both agree or disagree, and then we could discuss here any differences between us. Difference of opinion offers a wonderful opportunity to deepen one’s thoughts. At least that’s what I believe.)

In fact, come to think of it, this IS your method, assisted by technology! Right?

hi bill
I sent you an email using the humanianity website hoping we could bypass this website moderating function
if that’s not viable, could you use johnjweyland@yahoo.com.aui need to work on and from basic principles
. there are exceptions to all rules, including this one
. authoritarian culture is the opposite of what we need
. authoritarian culture is what we all grow up with and practise
. common and normal are bad
. power, tolerance, competition are bad, but have good forms
. the more i say, the more there is to discuss and object to
this alone can sink any co-operative endeavour
